We are proud to announce that Walter Tosto WTB has achieved a significant milestone!
The company completely renewed the CNCAN certification program after that in the past the former company Fecne manufactured the majority of nuclear components for the renowned Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant.
CNCAN, which stands for The National Commission for Control of Nuclear Activities, is the esteemed Governmental Institution of Romania responsible for overseeing and authorizing all activities related to equipment manufacturing, design, and nuclear energy production for Nuclear Power Plants.
The CNCAN certificate empowers us to manufacture and design critical Class I components for Nuclear Power plants within Romania’s territory, including Cernavoda and future projects.
Walter Tosto WTB is currently the first company in Romania involved into the fabrication of critical nuclear components to obtain such a demanding certification, obtained thanks to the investments made in the last ten years for developing an organization capable of exporting all over the world with the highest quality standards.
Walter Tosto WTB is now enabled to support the important domestic nuclear program which involves the refurbishment of Cernavoda units 1 and 2, the construction of two new units with CANDU technology and the construction of the first SMR plant in Europe with Nuscale technology.
